What type of businesses does Reinforce Ventures acquire?
We specialize in service-based businesses. We are actively looking for brick-and-mortar businesses, home services or online services like digital marketing.
How long does the acquisition process take?
Anywhere from 30-90 days depending on how much time is needed in Due Diligence. Our goal is to close as quickly as possible.
What are the steps in the acquisition process?
Step #1 - Qualification
This is where you fill out the application. If it's a good fit, we will book a meet-and-greet meeting with our Founder - Dustin Bogle.
Step #2 - Due Diligence
This is where we need access to 3 years of financials, look over custom contracts, evaluate equipment and do a deep inspection of the business.
Step #3 - Offer
At the conclusion of due diligence, we will make you an offer on your business. If you accept, we will send a Purchase Agreement and proceed to close. We will create a succession plan that fits with your timeline and goals.
What can I expect to get paid for my business?
The traditional formula is 1-3x annual profits. If the business is declining, it will likely be 1x, if the business is steady for multple years, it's a 2x. If the business is growing year over year, 3x is a possibility.
Are there geographic restrictions on Reinforce Ventures investments?
Yes, we can only invest in areas where we have Operators available. These are people who can run the day-to-day business while earning equity in the company. At this time, we are open to physical business in Texas or Florida only. We can also acquire online companies since they are remotely operated.
What is an Operator and how do I know it's right for me?
The Operator is the main leader running the day-to-day operations of the business. They might have a different titles based on the company but they're often considered the President of the company.
